Acceptable Use Policy
The rules that govern what you may create, upload, generate, publish and distribute with Inoue AI. This policy is part of our Terms of Service, and protects our users, the people depicted in generated media, and the integrity of the platform.
Last updated · v1.0
This Acceptable Use Policy (the “Policy”) sets out the conduct and content rules that apply to everyone who uses the Inoue AI service operated by ClipVision, Ltd. (“ClipVision”, “we”, “us”). It is incorporated into, and forms part of, our Terms of Service, and it applies to all prompts, inputs, uploaded media, generated outputs, connected social accounts, messages and any other activity on the service. A violation of this Policy is a violation of the Terms of Service. For how we handle personal data, see our Privacy Policy.
1. Scope and who this applies to
This Policy applies to every user of Inoue AI — individual creators, members of an organization, account administrators, and anyone accessing the service through our API, SDKs or integrations. It applies regardless of how content is created (typed prompts, uploaded reference images, identity and model images, voice samples, transcription or caption inputs, downloaded media) and regardless of where the resulting content is published (within Inoue AI, on a connected social platform, or anywhere else).
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account and for ensuring that anyone you permit to use it — including organization members and automated clients using your credentials — complies with this Policy. If you use Inoue AI on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you are authorized to bind that organization to this Policy.
Using Inoue AI does not relieve you of your own legal obligations. You must comply with all laws that apply to you and to the people depicted in your content, including the laws of any country where you create, store, publish or distribute that content, as well as the terms of any third-party platform to which you publish.
2. Prohibited content and conduct
You must not use Inoue AI to create, upload, generate, store, publish, distribute, or attempt to obtain any of the following. This list describes the categories of prohibited use; it is illustrative, not exhaustive, and we may treat conduct that is materially similar in spirit as a violation.
2.1 Child sexual abuse material and child endangerment
You must not create, upload, request, generate or distribute any material that sexualizes a minor or depicts the sexual abuse or exploitation of a minor (“CSAM”), whether the depiction is real, AI-generated, animated, illustrated, cartoon, “virtual”, or otherwise synthetic, and regardless of any claim that the subject is fictional or of legal age. This includes, without limitation:
- Sexualized images or video of any person who is, or who is depicted or made to appear to be, under the age of 18.
- Prompts, reference images, identity inputs, model configurations or fine-tuning intended to produce content that sexualizes minors, including “age-regression”, “teen”, “child” or schoolchild-themed sexual content.
- Content that grooms, solicits, or attempts to facilitate the sexual exploitation of a minor, or that normalizes or promotes the sexual abuse of children.
- Uploading, distributing or storing real CSAM, or using the service to process, transform, upscale or evade detection of such material.
We use technical and human review measures to detect this material. We will remove it, immediately and permanently terminate the accounts involved, preserve the relevant records, and report it to the appropriate authorities and child-safety organizations as required by law. We may make such reports without prior notice to you. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle the associated data.
2.2 Non-consensual intimate imagery and deepfakes of real people
Because Inoue AI can render photorealistic likenesses, the following are strictly prohibited:
- Non-consensual intimate imagery (“NCII”) — creating, “undressing”, “nudifying”, sexualizing or otherwise generating nude or intimate depictions of an identifiable real person without that person's clear, informed and verifiable consent. This includes synthetic nudes and “deepfake pornography”.
- Sexual deepfakes of any real individual, including public figures, creators, performers and private individuals, regardless of whether the source likeness was lawfully obtained.
- Impersonating, or fabricating the appearance, voice or statements of, a real person in a way that is deceptive, defamatory, or intended to harm, harass, defraud, or mislead — including making a person appear to endorse, say or do something they did not.
- Generating or distributing intimate, compromising or sexual imagery of a person you know, or have reason to believe, has not consented — including former partners, acquaintances, colleagues or strangers.
- Creating synthetic likenesses of identifiable people for political deception, election interference, fabricated “evidence”, fraud, or to incite hostility against them.
Adult content that depicts only consenting adults whose likenesses you are fully entitled to use may be permitted where our Terms of Service and the rules of any platform you publish to allow it; it is never permitted where it depicts a real person without consent, where it is non-consensual or coercive in nature, or where it falls within any other prohibition in this Policy. Your obligations around the rights to a person's likeness are set out in Section 4 (Likeness and consent) below.
2.3 Illegal activity and unlawful content
You must not use Inoue AI to engage in, facilitate, promote or generate content that is illegal under any law that applies to you or to the people affected, including:
- Content that violates applicable criminal law, or that promotes, incites, or provides instructions for serious unlawful acts.
- Fraud, scams, phishing, identity theft, forged documents, counterfeit goods, or the creation of fake identification, credentials or official documents.
- The sale, facilitation or promotion of weapons, explosives, illegal drugs, or other regulated or prohibited goods and services where doing so is unlawful.
- Human trafficking, sexual exploitation, or the exploitation or endangerment of any vulnerable person.
- Content that infringes export controls, sanctions, or other trade-restriction laws.
2.4 Harassment, hate, and violence
You must not use Inoue AI to create or distribute content that:
- Harasses, bullies, threatens, intimidates, defames or stalks any individual, or that incites others to do so.
- Promotes, glorifies or incites violence, terrorism, or the harm of any person or group, or that praises or supports a violent extremist organization.
- Attacks, demeans, dehumanizes or promotes hatred or discrimination against people on the basis of a protected characteristic such as race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, age, sex, gender identity or sexual orientation.
- Reveals or threatens to reveal another person's private or identifying information without authorization (“doxxing”).
- Encourages, instructs, or promotes self-harm, suicide, eating disorders, or other forms of serious physical or psychological harm.
- Exploits, sexualizes or endangers any person depicted without lawful basis, or depicts non-consensual sexual conduct of any kind.
2.5 Intellectual property and impersonation
You must not use Inoue AI to:
- Infringe the copyright, trademark, trade-secret, patent, publicity, privacy or other rights of any person or entity, including by reproducing or imitating protected works, characters, brands or logos that you are not authorized to use.
- Upload, generate or distribute content that you do not have the necessary rights, licenses, consents or permissions to use.
- Impersonate ClipVision, Inoue AI, another person, brand or organization, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
- Remove, obscure or falsify attribution, watermarks, provenance signals, or any notice indicating that content is AI-generated where such a notice is required by law or by a platform you publish to.
If you believe content on Inoue AI infringes your intellectual-property rights, contact us at [email protected] with sufficient detail to identify the work and the allegedly infringing material, and we will act on valid notices in accordance with applicable law and our Terms of Service.
2.6 Malware, security abuse, and harmful code
You must not use Inoue AI to:
- Create, distribute or facilitate malware, ransomware, spyware, viruses, or any other malicious or harmful code.
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of, or breach or circumvent, any security or authentication measure of Inoue AI or any other system or network, except under a security-research authorization we have expressly granted in writing.
- Gain or attempt to gain unauthorized access to any account, system, data, or network, or to any other user's content.
- Interfere with, disrupt, overload, or impair the integrity, performance or availability of the service or its infrastructure.
2.7 Spam, deception, and misleading content
You must not use Inoue AI to:
- Generate or distribute spam, unsolicited bulk or commercial messages, or engage in mass-messaging that violates the rules of a connected platform or applicable anti-spam law.
- Operate fake engagement, inauthentic accounts, bot networks, or coordinated inauthentic behavior on any connected social platform.
- Create deceptive synthetic media (including AI-generated images, video or voice) presented as authentic in order to mislead, defraud, or manipulate, including misinformation and disinformation campaigns.
- Misrepresent AI-generated content as human-authored, or as authentic footage of real events, where that misrepresentation is deceptive or unlawful.
3. Platform integrity and fair use of the service
Inoue AI is a shared platform. To keep it reliable and fair for every creator, you must not abuse its technical interfaces or undermine its protections. Specifically, you must not:
- Circumvent, disable, or interfere with rate limits, quotas, usage metering, credit accounting, or any other technical or contractual usage control.
- Use scripts, scrapers, crawlers, headless browsers, or other automated means to access the service, extract data, or generate content other than through interfaces we provide for that purpose (such as our documented API and SDKs), and then only within their published limits.
- Scrape, harvest or collect data, media or personal information from the service, from other users, or from third-party platforms in a manner that violates this Policy, our Terms of Service, applicable law, or the third party's terms.
- Share, resell, sublicense or transfer your access, credentials, API keys or credits except as expressly permitted by your plan and the Terms of Service, or create multiple or automated accounts to evade limits, bans, free-tier caps, or pricing.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source code, models, weights, or underlying components of the service, except to the limited extent such restriction is prohibited by applicable law.
- Use the outputs of the service to train, fine-tune or develop a competing AI model or service, except where expressly permitted in writing.
- Misuse credentials, signing secrets, webhooks or connected-account tokens, or interfere with the service's provider integrations, dispatch, or webhook delivery.
4. Likeness, consent, and the people you depict
Inoue AI is built to create and operate virtual identities, including models derived from real faces, bodies and voices. Because this directly affects real people, you agree to the following whenever your activity involves an identifiable real person:
- You will only upload, train on, recreate or generate the face, body, likeness, image or voice of a real person where you have that person's clear, informed and, where required, written consent, or where you otherwise hold all legal rights necessary to do so.
- You will not use the likeness or voice of any person who has not consented, including public figures, performers, acquaintances, former partners, or strangers, in any manner prohibited by this Policy.
- You will honor the scope and any withdrawal of a person's consent, and will stop using their likeness or voice and delete the associated identity, model and media if they withdraw consent or if you lose the right to use it.
- You will comply with all applicable image-rights, personality-rights, publicity-rights, data-protection and biometric-data laws governing the people you depict, and you accept that such people may have rights — including under the GDPR — in the data you create about them.
- You will not depict a minor in any identity or model, and you confirm that any real person whose likeness you use is an adult.
Where you connect and operate social or creator accounts through Inoue AI (including creator-CRM messaging), you remain responsible for the people you interact with and for the content you publish, and you act as the controller of any third-party personal data you bring into the service. Our handling of that data, and the consent that may be required for biometric or likeness data, are described in the relevant sections of our Privacy Policy.
We may require evidence of consent or of your right to use a likeness, and we may remove content or suspend access where we reasonably believe the necessary rights or consent are absent. The absence of such consent or rights is a serious violation of this Policy.
5. Enforcement and consequences
We enforce this Policy to protect our users, the people depicted in content, and the platform. We use a combination of automated detection, provider and platform signals, and human review to identify violations. We do not, however, undertake to monitor all content, and we are not obligated to do so.
Where we determine, in our reasonable discretion, that you have violated this Policy — or where we must act to comply with law, to protect a person at risk, or to protect the security or integrity of the service — we may take any one or more of the following actions, with or without prior notice and proportionate to the severity of the violation:
- Remove, disable, restrict, or refuse to generate the offending content.
- Issue a warning, or impose temporary limits on your account, features, or usage.
- Suspend or permanently terminate your account, organization access, API access, or connected integrations.
- Withhold, revoke, or decline to refund credits associated with violating activity, as set out in our Refund Policy and Terms of Service.
- Preserve relevant records, and report unlawful content or activity (including CSAM and credible threats of harm) to law-enforcement authorities, child-safety organizations, or affected platforms, as permitted or required by law.
- Take any other action we consider reasonably necessary, including cooperating with lawful investigations.
The most serious violations — including CSAM, sexual exploitation, non-consensual intimate imagery, and credible threats of violence — may result in immediate, permanent termination without prior warning and in a report to the authorities. For other violations, we will, where practicable and appropriate, give you an opportunity to remedy the issue, but we are not required to do so where doing so would risk harm or breach the law.
Enforcement under this Policy is in addition to, and does not limit, any other right or remedy available to us under our Terms of Service or at law. The consequences of account termination, including for content and credits, are governed by the Terms of Service and the Refund Policy.
6. Reporting abuse and prohibited content
If you encounter content or conduct on Inoue AI that you believe violates this Policy — including content that depicts you, or that uses your likeness or voice without your consent — please report it to us promptly at [email protected]. To help us act quickly, please include, where you can: a description of the content or conduct, where you encountered it (for example, links, identifiers, or account details), and why you believe it violates this Policy.
We review reports we receive and take the action we consider appropriate under Section 5. We will not retaliate against good-faith reports. To exercise data-protection rights, or to request removal of personal data, you can also contact [email protected] or follow the process in our Privacy Policy.
7. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Acceptable Use Policy from time to time to reflect new features, changing risks, evolving best practice, and changes in the law. When we make material changes, we will update the version and effective date shown at the top of this page and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Changes take effect when posted unless we state otherwise.
Your continued use of Inoue AI after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Policy. If you do not agree to a change, you must stop using the service. This Policy should be read together with our Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy, and our Refund Policy. Questions about this Policy, and reports of prohibited content, can be sent to [email protected].
